Most guided trips currently take place on Missouri waters and require a valid Missouri Fishing Permit. As Cardiac Mountain Outfitters expands into additional states, licensing requirements will vary by location. Guests will receive licensing information specific to their trip when booking.

Where to Purchase a License
Licenses can be purchased:
• Online through the Missouri Department of Conservation
• Through the MO Hunting app
• At most sporting goods stores
• At many bait and tackle shops
• Authorized Missouri permit vendors

Visitors must purchase a Missouri Nonresident Fishing Permit. Trout permits may also be required for designated trout waters.

Many of our guided trout trips require a trout permit in addition to your fishing license. We’ll let you know exactly what’s needed when you book.
Can I buy my license on the day of my trip?
Yes, but we strongly recommend purchasing it beforehand to avoid delays and maximize your fishing time.
What if I forget my license?
Unfortunately, you cannot legally fish without the required license and permits. Please make sure they’re secured before your trip.
Will I need licenses for future trips outside Missouri?
Yes. As Cardiac Mountain Outfitters expands into additional states, you’ll need to comply with that state’s licensing requirements. We’ll provide all the necessary information before your trip.
